The main difference to traditional ERb is that it does not rely on eval. This means that no potentially harmful code is executed when a Liquid template is compiled or rendered.

Stretched Flash templates are entirely flexible, filling the browser window as it expands or contracts. Stretched templates are sometimes called Liquid templates, liquid and stretched means the same. The main feature of the templates is that they are absolutely insensitive to the user's screen resolutions.
